Book Sleeve

Using InDesign, I recreated a book sleeve for the book "Walden" by Henry David Thoreau. I was inspired by the context of the book and the authors observations on living simply within nature. The front cover is a tree representing its natural state in all four different seasons. The leaves are falling into a pond, which represents Walden pond, and is the setting of this non-fictional piece of literature. The book sleeve includes a short biography of the Author, as well as a powerful quote on the back. The back cover also includes a black and white illustration of the small cabin that Thoreau lived out of during his over 2 year stay at Walden pond.
